Fall 2014 Day 13:
On Wednesday 22 October, the Kansas City Royals scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to defeat the San Francisco Giants 7-runs-2, thereby tying the 2014 World Series at 1-game-all. Game 3 is Friday 24 October in San Francisco.

Royal Original:
The Kansas City Royals are tied 1-game-all after the first two games of a best-of-7 MLB playoff series for the first time in franchise history. The Royals led 2-games-nil in the 2014 American League Championship Series; they had trailed 2-games-nil in the 1980 World Series, 1985 ALCS, and 1985 World Series.

Five in Sixth:
The Kansas City Royals' five-run outburst in the bottom of the sixth inning of 2014 World Series Game 2 is the highest-scoring best-of-7 World Series sixth inning by one team since the Cardinals in St. Louis scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth against the Milwaukee Brewers in 1982 World Series Game 6.

LW @ HH:
The 2014 World Series win/site order for the Kansas City Royals is LW @ HH: Kansas City thus hopes to follow the lead set by their cross-state rival St. Louis Cardinals, which own a perfect 5-0 best-of-7 World Series record in the wake of a LW @ HH win/site order through the first two games. The San Francisco Giants, against whom St. Louis posted a LW @ HH win/site order to begin the 2014 National League Championship Series but then lost Games 3-5 and the series, would for their part be happy to duplicate that performance against the other MLB team in Missouri in 2014.
