In best-of-7 NHL/NBA playoff series: The Florida Panthers have extended their Game 3-winning streak to four games; the Carolina Hurricanes have broken a five-Game 3 losing streak; trailing 2-games-1, the Philadelphia 76ers have an active six-series losing streak; the Orlando Magic through their Game 3 victory break a five-Game 3 losing streak and a six-game losing streak overall in best-of-7 playoff series; trailing 2-games-1, Orlando has an active five-Game 4 losing streak and an active five-series losing streak; trailing 3-games-nil, the Los Angeles Lakers have a 0-8 series record and a 0-8 Game 4 record.

Grade-B Comeback:
The Denver Nuggets trailed their host Los Angeles Lakers by ten points as late as after one quarter in Game 3 of their series, but emerged victorious. In the history of best-of-7 NBA playoff games since 1947, inclusive, road teams down ten points as late as after one quarter had a game record of only 14-70 (.167) - the Denver Nuggets thus achieve a grade-B (.100 - .199) in-game comeback in Game 3 of their series.

Into The Cauldron:
The Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Islanders, and Los Angeles Lakers have respectively become the 397th, 398th, and 399th MLB/NBA/NHL teams to fall into a 3-games-nil deficit in a best-of-7 playoff series. Each will strive to become the sixth team to rally for a 4-games-3 series victory (the Islanders are one of the previous five such teams, with their comeback against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1975 NHL Quarterfinals).

Wednesday - Active Streaks:
Irrespective of Games 1-2 in best-of-7 NHL playoff series, the Boston Bruins now have a five-Game 3 winning streak. Trailing a best-of-7 NHL playoff series 2-games-1, the Toronto Maple Leafs have an active four-series losing streak; down 2-games-nil in such series, the Dallas Stars have a perfect 0-9 series record. Best-of-7 Game 2 losing streaks were broken tonight by the NHL Los Angeles Kings (four Game 2s) and the NBA Oklahoma City Thunder (five Game 2s). All five series in action Thursday feature teams with 2-games-nil leads playing Game 3 on the road.

In-Game Comeback of Spring 2024:
On Monday 22 April, the Denver Nuggets trailed the visiting Los Angeles Lakers by ten points as late as after three quarters but prevailed in their Game 2.
