Game 3 on Wednesday, 14 October: Milwaukee wins at Los Angeles Dodgers, 6-runs-2
Game 4 on Thursday, 15 October: Milwaukee wins at Los Angeles Dodgers, 6-runs-4
SERIES NOTES:
After Game 4: The Milwaukee Brewers visited and defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-runs-4 to complete a 4-games-nil best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1648 sweep. With their series 1648 win, the Milwaukee Brewers improve their best-of-7 MLB playoff series record to 1-4 overall and 1-3 in the Semifinals round. With the series 1648 loss, the Los Angeles Dodgers see their best-of-7 MLB playoff series record fall to 14-13 overall and 6-7 in the Semifinals round. The win order for the victorious Milwaukee Brewers in series 1648 was WWWW: Series 1648 thus becomes the 12th MLB Semifinals-round series, the 33rd MLB series (all rounds), and the 267th MLB/NBA/NHL series (all rounds) to follow that win order to completion. The series 1648 victory by the Milwaukee Brewers is their first best-of-7 MLB playoff series victory, dating back to their beginning play in 1970. The series 1648 sweep by the Milwaukee Brewers over the Los Angeles Dodgers avenges the Dodgers' sweep of the Brewers in series 1615, in the 2025 National League Championship Series. Series 1648 is the 33rd best-of-7 MLB playoff series (all rounds) to end in a four-game sweep, but the first in which the swept team held a lead in all four games. Milwaukee trailed their host Los Angeles Dodgers in series 1648 Game 4 by four runs at a low ebb of after 2.5 innings, but won: In the history of best-of-7 MLB playoff games, road teams down four runs after 2.5 innings from 1905 through 2025, inclusive, had a game record of only 2-22 (.083); so it is that the Milwaukee Brewers staged a grade-A in-game comeback in series 1648 Game 4. Of the two previous teams to trail by four runs after 2.5 innings but win, the last was the Los Angeles Dodgers, in their 7-runs-6 comeback victory over the Yankees in New York in series 1583 Game 5 to win the 2024 World Series.
After Game 3: The Milwaukee Brewers visited and defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-runs-2 to take a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1648 lead of 3-games-nil. When leading a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 3-games-nil, the Milwaukee Brewers have a series record of 0-0 and a Game 4 record of 0-0. When trailing a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 3-games-nil, the Los Angeles Dodgers have a series record of 0-1 and a Game 4 record of 0-1. The Milwaukee Brewers in series 1648 lead a best-of-7 MLB playoff series 3-games-nil for the first time in their history. The only previous best-of-7 MLB playoff series in which the Dodgers as the Los Angeles Dodgers trailed 3-games-nil was series 179, in which the Dodgers then lost Game 4 to the Orioles in Baltimore to be swept from the 1966 World Series.
After Game 2: The Milwaukee Brewers hosted and bested the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-runs-4 to take a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1648 lead of 2-games-nil. When leading a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 2-games-nil, the Milwaukee Brewers have a series record of 0-0 and a Game 3 record of 0-0. When trailing a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 2-games-nil, the Los Angeles Dodgers have a series record of 3-5 and a Game 3 record of 7-1 (with an active six-Game 3 winning streak). The series 1648 Game 2 victory by the Milwaukee Brewers is their first best-of-7 MLB playoff Game 2 victory in five such tries; for the first time in their best-of-7 MLB playoff series history, the Milwaukee Brewers lead a best-of-7 MLB playoff series 2-games-nil after two games. In the history of best-of-7 MLB playoff series, teams such as the Milwaukee Brewers which win Game 1 at home by one run and win Game 2 at home by three runs have a 2-0 series record; the second of the two such victories was achieved in series 1054 by the Philadelphia Phillies, in the 2008 MLB Semifinals (National League Championship Series) over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
After Game 1: The Milwaukee Brewers hosted and defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-runs-1 to take a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1648 lead of 1-game-nil. When leading a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1-game-nil, the Milwaukee Brewers have a series record of 0-3 and a Game 2 record of 0-3. When trailing a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1-game-nil, the Los Angeles Dodgers have a series record of 7-9 and a Game 2 record of 8-8. In the history of best-of-7 MLB playoff series commencing with the 1905 MLB Finals, teams such as the Milwaukee Brewers which win Game 1 by one run have a 45-24 (.652) series record irrespective of site, and a 26-10 (.722) series record upon achieving that Game 1 victory at home.
Pre-series assessment: In the 2026 MLB regular season, the Milwaukee Brewers finished three games ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers. From 1905 through the 2025 MLB Finals round, when MLB teams led their best-of-7 playoff series opponents by three regular-season games, they have posted a best-of-7 playoff series record of 7-5 (.583) in those series against those opponents. Best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1648 is the fifth best-of-7 MLB playoff series for the Milwaukee Brewers, and the 27th for the Los Angeles Dodgers. In best-of-7 MLB playoff series, the Milwaukee Brewers have an all-rounds series record of 0-4, a Semifinals-round series record of 0-3, and a Game 1 record of 3-1, while the Los Angeles Dodgers have an all-rounds series record of 14-12 (with an active four-series winning streak befitting a two-time defending MLB champion), a Semifinals-round series record of 6-6, and a Game 1 record of 10-16. Series 1648 is the third best-of-7 MLB playoff series meeting between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Los Angeles Dodgers. In their previous two best-of-7 MLB playoff series meetings, the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2018 and the 2025 National League Championship Series.
