SERIES NOTES:

After Game 4: The Carolina Hurricanes visited and bested the Philadelphia Flyers 3-goals-2(OT) to complete a 4-games-nil best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1626 victory. With the series 1626 win, the Carolina Hurricanes improve their best-of-7 NHL playoff series record to 20-11 overall and 7-3 in the Quarterfinals round. With the series 1626 loss, the Philadelphia Flyers see their best-of-7 NHL playoff series record fall to 40-35 overall and 16-11 (with an active four-Quarterfinals round series losing streak) in the Quarterfinals round. The win order for the victorious Carolina Hurricanes in series 1626 was WWWW: Series 1626 thus becomes the 44th NHL Quarterfinals-round series, the 132nd NHL series (all rounds), and the 262nd MLB/NBA/NHL series (all rounds) to follow that win order to completion. With their series 1626 sweep, the Carolina Hurricanes become the first NBA/NHL team to start a Spring best-of-7 playoff season 8-0 since 2017, when the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers began that playoff season with two consecutive sweeps and the Golden State Warriors began the same playoff season with three consecutive sweeps. Since the NHL Preliminary round became a best-of-7 playoff round in 1987, the Carolina Hurricanes have become the first NHL team to start a Spring best-of-7 playoff season 8-0.

After Game 3: The Carolina Hurricanes visited and outscored the Philadelphia Flyers 4-goals-1 to take a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1626 lead of 3-games-nil. Leading a best-of-7 NHL playoff series 3-games-nil, the Carolina Hurricanes won two of those series via four-game sweep, and the other two of those series in five games.
