Grade-A Comeback:
In their Game 5, the Carolina Hurricanes trailed the visiting New Jersey Devils by three goals as late as 1:45 into the second period, but won. In the history of best-of-7 NHL playoff games from 1939 through 2024, inclusive, home teams down three goals as late as 1:45 into the second period had a game record of only 3-88 (.033) - the Carolina Hurricanes thus achieve a grade-A (.000 - .099) in-game comeback in their Game 5 victory over the Devils.

Seven Not Heaven:
With their series loss to the Boston Celtics, the Orlando Magic now own a seven-series losing streak. The Boston series victory is their 79th best-of-7 NBA playoff series victory, only one behind the MLB/NBA/NHL-leading 80 best-of-7 playoff series victories by the NHL Montreal Canadiens.

Cauldron:
The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Oklahoma City Thunder have become the 409th and 410th MLB/NBA/NHL teams, respectively, to take 3-games-nil leads in best-of-7 playoff series. The Ottawa Senators now vie to become the sixth MLB/NBA/NHL team (and the fifth NHL team) to surmount that deficit for a 4-games-3 series victory. The Memphis Grizzlies likewise vie to become the sixth MLB/NBA/NHL team (and the first NBA team) to surmount that deficit for a 4-games-3 series victory. UPDATE: Oklahoma City and Cleveland (vs Miami in the 411th 3-games-nil series) have swept their series; Ottawa won its Games 4-5 to cut the Toronto lead to 3-games-2.

Comeback of Spring 2025:
On Thursday 24 April, the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder trailed the Grizzlies in Memphis by 26 points at halftime in their Game 3, but won. In the history of best-of-7 NBA playoff games prior to Thunder-Grizzlies Game 3 (1947-2025, inclusive), road or home teams trailing by 26 points at halftime had a game record of 0-19, with all 19 losses by double-digit margins. The 26-point halftime deficit also becomes the largest halftime deficit ever surmounted by a road or home team for a game victory in a best-of-7 NBA playoff game: In Game 3 during the 2017 NBA Preliminary round, the Cleveland Cavaliers trailed the Pacers in Indiana by 25 halftime points, but won 119-pts-114.
