The win order for the victorious Oklahoma City Thunder in series 1603 was WWWW: Series 1603 thus becomes the 38th NBA Preliminary-round series, the 96th NBA series (all rounds), and the 256th MLB/NBA/NHL series (all rounds) to follow that win order to completion. Through their series 1603 Game 4 loss, completed at 6:17pmEDT on Saturday 26 April 2025, the Memphis Grizzlies become the first NBA/NHL team ousted from the Spring 2025 playoffs. The four-game sweep by the Oklahoma City Thunder in series 1603 is the second consecutive four-game sweep achieved by the Thunder in the NBA Preliminary round: In Series 1570, the Thunder also swept the New Orleans Pelicans from the 2024 NBA Preliminary round.

After Game 3: The Oklahoma City Thunder visited and bested the Memphis Grizzlies 114-pts-108 to take a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1603 lead of 3-games-nil. The visiting Oklahoma City Thunder trailed the Grizzlies in Memphis by 26 points at halftime in series 1603 Game 3, but won: In the history of best-of-7 NBA playoff games prior to series 1603 Game 3 (1947-2025, inclusive), road or home teams trailing by 26 points at halftime had a game record of 0-19, with all 19 losses by double-digit margins. The 26-point halftime deficit also becomes the largest halftime deficit ever surmounted by a road or home team for a game victory in a best-of-7 NBA playoff game: In series 1336 Game 3 in the 2017 NBA Preliminary round, the Cleveland Cavaliers trailed the Pacers in Indiana by 25 halftime points, but won 119-pts-114. With their series 1603 Game 3 win, the Oklahoma City Thunder become the 410th MLB/NBA/NHL team to take a 3-games-nil lead in a best-of-7 playoff series; the Memphis Grizzlies will strive to become the sixth MLB/NBA/NHL team (and the first NBA team) to surmount that deficit for a 4-games-3 series victory.

After Game 2: The Oklahoma City Thunder hosted and topped the Memphis Grizzlies 118-pts-99 to take a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1603 lead of 2-games-nil.

Series 1603 Game 1 results in the largest margin of victory by a home team in a best-of-7 NBA playoff game ever, breaking the previous record of 50 points set by the Bucks in Milwaukee over the Golden State Warriors in series 241 (1971 Quarterfinals) Game 5. Series 1603 Game 1 results in the largest margin of victory in a best-of-7 NBA playoff Game 1 ever, breaking the previous record of 43 points set by the Lakers in Los Angeles over the Dallas Mavericks in series 436 (1984 Quarterfinals) Game 1, and tied by the Magic in Orlando over the Atlanta Hawks in series 1113 (2010 Quarterfinals) Game 1.

Pre-series assessment: In the 2024-25 NBA regular season, the Oklahoma City Thunder finished 20 games ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies.
