SERIES NOTES:

After Game 4: The Florida Panthers hosted and defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 4-goals-3 to complete a 4-games-nil best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1530 victory. With the series 1530 win, the Florida Panthers improve their best-of-7 NHL playoff series record to 7-7 overall and 2-0 in the Semifinals round. With the series 1530 loss, the Carolina Hurricanes see their best-of-7 NHL playoff series record fall to 15-9 overall and 2-3 in the Semifinals round. The win order for the victorious Florida Panthers in series 1530 was WWWW: Series 1530 thus becomes the 28th NHL Semifinals-round series, the 128th NHL series (all rounds), and the 251st MLB/NBA/NHL series (all rounds) to follow that win order to completion. The sweep accomplished by the Florida Panthers in series 1530 is their first in best-of-7 NHL playoff series. The sweep sustained by the Carolina Hurricanes in series 1530 is their third in best-of-7 NHL playoff series, with the previous two in series 1068 (in the 2009 NHL Semifinals) and in series 1398 (in the 2019 NHL Semifinals). So it is that the Carolina Hurricanes now have a 2-3 best-of-7 NHL Semifinals series record, with all three losses by way of four-game sweeps.

After Game 3: The Florida Panthers hosted and shut out the Carolina Hurricanes 1-goal-nil to take a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1530 lead of 3-games-nil. When leading a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 3-games-nil, the Florida Panthers have a series record of 2-0 and a Game 4 record of 0-2. When trailing a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 3-games-nil, the Carolina Hurricanes have a series record of 0-3 and a Game 4 record of 1-2. The Carolina Hurricanes by losing series 1530 Game 3 become the 395th MLB/NBA/NHL team to fall behind 3-games-nil in a best-of-7 playoff series, and will strive to become the sixth such team to rally for a 4-games-3 series victory.

After Game 2: The Florida Panthers visited and topped the Carolina Hurricanes 2-goals-1(OT) to take a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1530 lead of 2-games-nil. When leading a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 2-games-nil, the Florida Panthers have a series record of 2-0 and a Game 3 record of 2-0. When trailing a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 2-games-nil, the Carolina Hurricanes have a series record of 2-4 and a Game 3 record of 3-3. In both best-of-7 NHL playoff series in which the Florida Panthers led 2-games-nil, the Panthers won Game 3, lost Game 4, and won Game 5, in series 701 (in the 1996 NHL Preliminary round over the Boston Bruins) and in series 1526 (in the 2023 NHL Quarterfinals round over the Toronto Maple Leafs). The Carolina Hurricanes have twice won best-of-7 NHL playoff series which they had trailed 2-games-nil: series 958 (over the Montreal Canadiens in six games in the 2006 NHL Preliminary round, en route to the 2006 NHL championship) and series 1388 (over the Washington Capitals in seven games in the 2019 NHL Preliminary round).

After Game 1: The Florida Panthers visited and topped the Carolina Hurricanes 3-goals-2(4OT) to take a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1530 lead of 1-game-nil. When leading a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1-game-nil, the Florida Panthers have a series record of 4-1 and a Game 2 record of 2-3. When trailing a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 1-game-nil, the Carolina Hurricanes have a series record of 6-6 and a Game 2 record of 6-6. The Florida Panthers tallied their winning goal at 19:47 into the fourth overtime period of series 1530 Game 1; series 1530 Game 1 thus becomes the fourth-longest best-of-7 NHL playoff game ever, and the longest since series 1420 Game 1 when the Tampa Bay Lightning hosted and defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-goals-2 with the winning goal 10:27 into the fifth overtime period of their 2020 NHL Preliminary-round opener. Leading a best-of-7 NHL playoff series 1-game-nil, the Florida Panthers suffered their only series loss in series 726, to the New York Rangers in five games in the 1997 NHL Preliminary round. The series 1530 Game 1 loss by the Carolina Hurricanes ends the four-Game 1 winning streak by Carolina in best-of-7 NHL playoff series.
