With the series 1261 win, the Calgary Flames improve their best-of-7 NHL playoff series record to 12-17 overall and 4-11 in the Preliminary round. With the series 1261 loss, the Vancouver Canucks see their best-of-7 NHL playoff series record fall to 15-20 overall and 9-9 in the Preliminary round. The win order for the victorious Calgary Flames in series 1261 was WLWWLW: Series 1261 thus becomes the tenth NHL Preliminary-round series, the 20th NHL series (all rounds), and the 46th MLB/NBA/NHL series (all rounds) to follow that win order to completion.
