SERIES NOTES:

After Game 4: The Miami Heat visited and defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 88-pts-77 to achieve a four-game sweep of MLB/NBA/NHL best-of-7 playoff series 1203. With the series 1203 win, the Miami Heat improve their best-of-7 NBA playoff series record to 16-8 overall (with an active five-series winning streak) and 6-3 in the Preliminary round. With the series 1203 loss, the Milwaukee Bucks see their best-of-7 NBA playoff series record fall to 11-20 overall (with an active six-series losing streak) and an NBA-worst 0-5 in the Preliminary round. Series 1203 thus becomes the sixteenth best-of-7 NBA Preliminary-round series, the 63rd best-of-7 NBA series (all rounds), and the 198th best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL series (all rounds) to end in a four-game sweep. Series 1203 becomes only the sixth best-of-7 NBA playoff series sweep in which the sweeping team won each game by a double-digit victory margin (series 1208, courtesy of the San Antonio Spurs, would later on Sunday 28 April become the seventh).

After Game 3: The Miami Heat visited and defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 104-pts-91 to take a 3-games-nil lead in MLB/NBA/NHL best-of-7 playoff series 1203. When leading a best-of-7 NBA playoff series 3-games-nil, the Miami Heat have an 4-0 series record and a 2-2 Game 4 record. When trailing a best-of-7 NBA playoff series 3-games-nil, the Milwaukee Bucks have a 0-5 series record and a 2-3 Game 4 record (with an active three-Game 4 losing streak). The 2013 Milwaukee Bucks thus become the 309th team to fall behind in a best-of-7 MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series 3-games-nil, and will attempt to become the fifth team to win such a series 4-games-3. Series 1203 is the third consecutive NBA Preliminary-round series in which the Miami Heat have taken a 3-games-nil lead; they won their 2011 and 2012 Preliminary-round series in five games. Miami trailed Milwaukee by nine points after the first quarter: In the history of best-of-7 NBA playoff games, teams down nine points after one quarter on the road had a game record of only 10-59 (.144).

After Game 2: The Miami Heat hosted and defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 98-pts-86 to take a 2-games-nil lead in MLB/NBA/NHL best-of-7 playoff series 1203. When leading a best-of-7 NBA playoff series 2-games-nil, the Miami Heat have an 8-0 series record and a 4-4 Game 3 record. When trailing a best-of-7 NBA playoff series 2-games-nil, the Milwaukee Bucks have a 0-11 series record and a 6-5 Game 3 record. In the history of best-of-7 NBA playoff series from 1947 through 2012, inclusive, teams which win both Games 1 and 2 by double-digit victory margins have a 72-4 (.947) series record, with an active 12-series winning streak.

After Game 1: The Miami Heat hosted and defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 110-pts-87 to take a 1-game-nil lead in MLB/NBA/NHL best-of-7 playoff series 1203. When leading a best-of-7 NBA playoff series 1-game-nil, the Miami Heat have a 10-2 series record (with an active three-series winning streak) and an 8-4 Game 2 record. When trailing a best-of-7 NBA playoff series 1-game-nil, the Milwaukee Bucks have a 3-17 series record (with an active eight-series losing streak) and a 9-11 Game 2 record. In the history of best-of-7 NBA playoff series from 1947 through 2012, inclusive, teams which win Game 1 by 23 points (such as Miami in series 1203 Game 1) have a 3-0 series record.

Pre-series assessment: In the 2012-13 NBA regular season, the defending NBA champion Miami Heat finished 28 games ahead of Milwaukee. From 1947 through the 2012 NBA Finals round, inclusive, when NBA teams led their best-of-7 playoff series opponents by 28 regular-season games, they have posted a 0-0 (---) best-of-7 series record in those series against those opponents. MLB/NBA/NHL best-of-7 playoff series 1203 is the 31st best-of-7 NBA playoff series for Milwaukee, and the 24th for Miami.
