SERIES NOTES:

Post-series assessment: The Phoenix Suns defeated the San Antonio Spurs 4-games-nil in MLB/NBA/NHL best-of-7 playoff series 1115. With the series 1115 victory, the Phoenix Suns improve their best-of-7 NBA playoff series record to 15-19 overall and 9-9 in the NBA Quarterfinals. With the series 1115 loss, the San Antonio Spurs see their best-of-7 NBA playoff series record fall to 25-17 overall and 10-10 in the NBA Quarterfinals. The victorious Phoenix Suns swept series 1115 in four games: Series 1115 thus becomes the 21st NBA Quarterfinals series, the 55th NBA series (all rounds), and the 183rd MLB/NBA/NHL series (all rounds) to end in a four-game sweep. Trailing in San Antonio by nine points after the first quarter, the Phoenix Suns rallied for a 110-pts-96 series 1115 Game 3 victory and a 3-games-nil series lead: In the history of best-of-7 NBA playoff games from 1947 through the start of 07 May 2010 (the date of series 1115 Game 3), road teams down nine after one quarter had a game record of only 8-53 (.131).

Pre-series assessment: In the 2009-10 NBA regular season, the Phoenix Suns finished four games ahead of the San Antonio Spurs. From 1939 through the 2010 NBA Preliminary round, when NBA teams led their best-of-7 playoff series opponents by four regular-season games, they have posted a 20-7 (.741) best-of-7 series record in those series against those opponents. MLB/NBA/NHL best-of-7 playoff series 1115 is the 42nd best-of-7 playoff series for the San Antonio Spurs, and the 34th for the Phoenix Suns. In best-of-7 NBA playoff series, San Antonio has a 25-16 series record, a 10-9 Quarterfinals-round series record, and a 23-18 Game 1 record, while Phoenix has a 14-19 series record, an 8-9 Quarterfinals-round record, and a 15-18 Game 1 record. Series 1115 is the sixth best-of-7 NBA playoff series meeting between San Antonio and Phoenix: Phoenix won the first (series 643, in the 1993 NBA Quarterfinals), but San Antonio won the last four (series 892, in the 2003 NBA Preliminary round; series 952, in the 2005 Semifinals round; series 1015, in the 2007 Quarterfinals; series 1044, in the 2008 Preliminary round).
