SERIES NOTES:

Post-series assessment: The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 4-games-3 in MLB/NBA/NHL best-of-7 playoff series 1106. With the series 1106 victory, the Atlanta Hawks improve their best-of-7 NBA playoff series record to 4-16 overall and 2-1 in the Preliminary round; with the series 1106 loss, the Milwaukee Bucks see their best-of-7 NBA playoff series record fall to 11-19 overall (with an active five-series losing streak) and 0-4 in the Preliminary round. The victorious Atlanta Hawks posted a WWLLLWW win order in the series 1106 victory: Series 1106 thus becomes the first NBA Preliminary-round series, the eighth NBA series (all rounds), and the 19th MLB/NBA/NHL series (all rounds) to follow this win order to completion. In series 1106 Game 6, the Milwaukee Bucks set a best-of-7 NBA Preliminary-round playoff Game 6 record for fewest points (and for fewest points by the home team) with 69, breaking the previous records of 72 points by the Atlanta Hawks (in series 1074 Game 6 in Miami against the Heat in the 2009 NBA Preliminary round) and 77 points by the host Philadelphia 76ers (in series 1039 Game 6 against the visiting Detroit Pistons in the 2008 NBA Preliminary round). In series 1106 Game 6, Milwaukee and Atlanta combined for 152 points - the fewest total points ever in a best-of-7 NBA Preliminary-round playoff Game 6 (breaking the previous record of 168 points, set by the Portland Trailblazers and Houston Rockets in series 1078 Game 6 - in the 2009 NBA Preliminary round).

Pre-series assessment: In the 2009-10 regular season, Atlanta finished seven games ahead of Milwaukee. From 1947 through the 2009 NBA Finals, when NBA teams led their best-of-7 playoff series opponents by seven regular-season games, they have posted a 21-4 (.840) best-of-7 series record in those series against those opponents. MLB/NBA/NHL best-of-7 playoff series 1106 is the 30th best-of-7 playoff series for Milwaukee, and the 20th for Atlanta. In best-of-7 playoff series, Milwaukee has an 11-18 series record (with an active four-series losing streak), a 0-3 Prelim-round series record, and a 10-19 Game 1 record, while Atlanta has a 3-16 series record, a 1-1 Prelim-round record, and a 3-16 Game 1 record. Series 1106 is the first best-of-7 NBA playoff series meeting between Milwaukee and Atlanta. In series 1106, the Milwaukee Bucks make their first NBA playoff series appearance since 2006.
