St. Louis Blues vs Phoenix Coyotes

Game 7: St. Louis wins at Phoenix, 1-0. St. Louis joins the 1994 Vancouver Canucks and the 1998 Edmonton Oilers as the only NHL teams to win a series WLLLWWW without home ice advantage. St. Louis also becomes the 15th NHL team to rebound from a three-games-to-one deficit to win a series in seven games. Of those fifteen rebounds, twelve have occurred in the Prelim round.

Game 6: St. Louis wins vs. Phoenix, 5-3. In Prelim round 7th games, St. Louis has a record of 1-1 and Phoenix has a record of 0-1 (Winnipeg had a record of 0-2). In all 7th games, St. Louis has a record of 5-6 and Phoenix has a record of 0-1 (Winnipeg had a record of 0-2).

Game 5: St. Louis wins at Phoenix, 2-1. Twice before has St. Louis won Game 1, lost the next three, and won Game 5 in NHL best-of-7 action; St. Louis lost Game 6 and the series in both cases. Winnipeg/Phoenix has a series record of 1-2 when leading a series 3 games to 2.

Game 4: Phoenix wins at St. Louis, 2-1. Only the 1994 Vancouver Canucks and the 1998 Edmonton Oilers have rebounded from WLLL deficits to win a best-of-7 Prelim round series. Game 3: Phoenix wins at St. Louis, 5-4. Phoenix improves its Prelim round best-of-7 Game 3 record to a perfect 3-0. Twice before (in 1995 and in 1997) has St. Louis won Game 1 and lost Games 2 and 3 in NHL best-of-7 Preliminary round action; St. Louis lost the series in both cases. Once before (in 1998) has Phoenix lost Game 1 and won Games 2 and 3 in NHL best-of-7 Preliminary round action; Phoenix lost that series in seven games.

Game 2: Phoenix wins vs. St. Louis, 4-3. St. Louis has a best-of-7 series record of 2-4 when it wins Game 1 and loses Game 2 on road ice. The last such series win occurred in the 1996 Prelim round; the last two such series losses occurred in the 1997 Prelim round and in the 1998 Conference Semifinals. Neither Phoenix nor Winnipeg has ever lost Game 1 and won Game 2 on home ice before now.

Game 1: St. Louis wins at Phoenix, 3-1. Four times before in NHL best-of-7 Preliminary round action has the road team won Game 1 3-1, and the series record of those teams is 3-1. In 1996, St. Louis also won Prelim round Game 1 by a 3-1 score, and won the series in six games. Phoenix' best-of-7 Prelim round Game 1 record falls to 0-3, while St. Louis notches its 10th best-of-7 Prelim round Game 1 win -- an NHL high.
