Game 5: Boston wins at Carolina, 4-3. Twice before did Boston win Game 1, lose Games 2 and 3, and win Games 4 and 5 in a best-of-7 series. The Bruins' record in such series is 1-1. Carolina (as Hartford) has a series record of 0-6 when trailing a best-of-7 series 3 games to 2.

Game 4: Boston wins vs. Carolina, 4-1. Three times before did Boston win Game 1, lose Games 2 and 3, and win Game 4 in a best-of-7 series. The Bruins' record in such series is 2-1.
